PRO-SET Special Order Epoxies are designed for very specific applications or manufacturing processes.  Each system has been formulated to meet the demands of a specific customer’s application when the volume warrants tailored formulation.  Even though developed for a well-defined application, as the composite industry grows and changes, new users often find uses for these Special Order formulations.

A four-digit number preceded by the letter M identifies the resins and hardeners in the Special Order group.  All resin numbers begin with the number 1 and the hardeners begin with the number 2.

The PRO-SET epoxy range includes custom formulated, modern, high performance bio-based epoxies for composite manufacture.  Specifically for composite manufacturers wanting to reduce their carbon footprint our bio based epoxies will produce lightweight, durable structures for the demanding composite industry.  The bio based products include systems for Infusion through to hand laminating, to assembly adhesives and have been formulated based upon our vast experience and knowledge of the demanding performance criteria needed from the epoxy systems.

Super Toughened Laminating Epoxy

PRO-SET M1002 toughened laminating resin is formulated for high load or high peel applications and situations where the bond line area is less than optimum. Examples are carbon fibre skins on honeycomb core material or tabbing with carbon onto cured carbon skinned panels and structures.

Epoxy Gelcoats

In mould epoxy gelcoats:

Three PRO-SET hardeners can be used with the Gelcoat Resins:

• M2015 Fast
• M2048 Medium
• M2049 Slow

Phenol-free PRO-SET M2048 and M2049 Hardeners greatly improve the colour stability and durability of gelcoat systems, but UV exposure will still cause discolouration.
