The combination of the inherent flexibility with WSI’s ability to create bespoke formulations, has made PRO-SET® products the niche epoxy of choice for most large European wind turbine manufacturers. This reflects the extremely demanding engineering requirements. For example, bespoke PRO-SET formulations are extensively used in the mould-making process. Some of the requirements have been to create high temperature formulations which make it possible to build moulds that retain their physical properties even when used at high service temperatures to post-cure prepregs. We have also created bespoke protective gelcoats which use carbon fibres which are almost impossible to damage.
