The repair pack contains UW43HV, a two-part epoxide-based adhesive. This formulation is specially designed to create strong bonds to most glass reinforced plastics and other polymeric materials, including many paints and surface coatings, even when totally immersed in either fresh or seawater. It will cure at temperatures as low as 5°C, and tolerate some oil or grease contamination on the bonding surfaces.
It’s high viscosity characteristics allow for application underwater such as structural bonding. The higher viscosity allows for the lesser movement or sagging at higher ambient temperatures. In extreme circumstances the UW34HV will bond to contaminated substrates.
This versatile pack is ideal for emergency underwater repairs on pipework, loose materials where adhesion is required and for use on strong materials such as steel pipes, as well as fibreglass structures.
