Entropy Resins®

There is no better chemistry than that inspired by our planet

Epoxy resins made responsibly

Entropy Resins® is a biobased range of epoxy products manufactured with renewable resources to the highest extent possible.

Through green chemistry, biobased and rapidly renewable raw materials, and efficient manufacturing, we conserve energy, minimise harmful by products, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of our products from processing.

Icebergs from above

We believe green should be more than just a colour

Independent, third-party laboratories verify the biobased content of our formulations, and every Entropy Resins system is certified under the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product label programme.

Using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), we quantify how our technology reduces the environmental impact of production and, in turn, helps cut the carbon footprint of our customers’ products. As scientists and engineers, we believe “green” should be more than just a colour, which is why we back every sustainability claim with robust data.

Supporting global causes through 1% For The Planet

Wessex Resins and Adhesives donates 1 per cent of its annual turnover for the Entropy Resins® product range to Protect Our Winters UK, part of 1% for the Planet.

Trees saved from being clear cut

There are roughly 180 trees per acre, and we are able to save 415 acres of forest through our sustainable practices, an environment that is vital to protect.

500ml bottles of water saved

Water is one of our most precious resources that is easily overlooked in the production process. We wanted to ensure that it was addressed and that we limited our wastewater production.

format_quote

“We prefer a combination of local products, such as beech and spruce, in snowboard production. The main reason is that the flexibility and durability values of this combination are very good. In addition to this, glass fibres, base, and topsheet materials are used. Of course, we glue them together using Entropy Resins. Because it is environmentally friendly.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SuperSap technology?

Super Sap® technology combines green chemistry, biobased and rapidly renewable raw materials, and efficient manufacturing to conserve energy, minimise harmful by-products, and lower the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our products.

Do biobased epoxies from Entropy Resins perform as well as traditional epoxies?

Yes. Entropy’s Super Sap® systems are engineered as high-performance epoxies with excellent strength, adhesion, clarity and UV stability, and are used in technically demanding laminating, coating and marine applications.

What is Entropy Resins’ mission as a brand?

Entropy Resins’ vision is to “Make Things Better™” by shaping the next generation of epoxy with biobased formulations. The brand focuses on creating high-performance, more sustainable epoxies, proven with scientific data, that lower environmental impact without compromising reliability.

What types of epoxy systems does Entropy Resins offer?

Entropy Resins offers a full range of epoxies for laminating, casting, coating and hot-coating, plus specialist systems for compression moulding and high-temperature performance. Within the range you’ll find options optimised for clarity, UV stability, rapid cure, deep casting and high-strength composites, so you can choose a system that matches your exact process and finish requirements.

Can Entropy Resins support businesses with technical onboarding and process optimisation?

Yes. Entropy Resins and its distribution partners provide technical data, processing guides and one-to-one application support to help manufacturers select the right system.
