Corporate Social Responsibility

Wessex Resins & Adhesives is committed to supporting our local community through educational workshops and supplying invaluable epoxy materials

Plan B

A place where those who are unable to engage in mainstream education can find a haven for learning and development. The Plan B philosophy supports those who need an alternate way to mainstream education. Plan B offers students the opportunity to learn the key curriculum subjects such as Maths and English but also provides a place for an opportunity to learn through the local marine industry activities.

Wessex Resins & Adhesives has been a dedicated supporter of Plan B and all it has achieved. We’re delighted to have played our part in attending workshops and visiting on open days as well as providing marine-grade epoxies for boat builds.

Visit Plan B to find out more about their incredible organisation in the local community, based in Hampshire.

Wessex Resins & Adhesives have not only generously supplied the required materials and consumables, but it is their expertise, patience and guidance that sets them apart. Their response to our many technical requests and queries has been rapid and thorough, talking to us in layman’s terms that our students can understand and relate to, while ensuring every detail is covered and their follow up is ongoing and consistent until the project is complete.

We cannot thank them enough for their ongoing support.”

Football Clubs

Many of us at Wessex Resins are big advocates for football, with some having season tickets for local clubs and those having previously played semi-professionally to those coaching football. We once had a Wessex Resins & Adhesives football team!

Our prime attention turns to supporting a local team called Southbrook Challengers who play grassroots football in Hampshire. We’re thrilled to see them flourish in their league and cup games with our colleague Ally Day, overseeing the team as Assistant Manager.

Visit Southbrook Youth FC to find out how they are getting on.

The funding Wessex Resins & Adhesives has provided the Southbrook Challengers has allowed us to provide brand new kits for the whole team of 11 players! The new trendy design is loved by all of the girls, and it wouldn’t have been possible if not for Wessex Resins and Adhesives sponsorship. We are very grateful to Wessex for supporting our girls!

Wessex Heartbeat

Having attended a local community event, we heard about Wessex Heartbeat and their incredible work to provide care and support for patients diagnosed with cardiac health conditions and provide a facility for families with loved ones on the local hospital wards. They strive to help fund leading equipment and provide educational resources to support patients before admission.

We were delighted to donate to Wessex Heartbeat to support efforts for an incredible cause.

Protect Our Winters

1% For The Planet

Wessex Resins and Adhesives is delighted to announce it has donated 1 per cent of its annual turnover for the Entropy Resins® product range to Protect Our Winters UK.

This is part of the company’s commitment to 1% for the Planet, a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual membership and everyday actions. 1% for the Planet, a non-profit organisation, bringing financial donations together with ‘doers’ who are approved ‘environmental non-profits’, such as Protect Our Winters UK.

“We chose this worthy organisation to donate to as we manufacture Entropy Resins® products, a range of bio-based epoxy systems that are used to make action sports goods, such as skis, snowboards, skateboards, surf boards etc. It’s a great fit as my family and I love to ski and of course, climate change in general is very important to all of us.”

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint through operational efforts. In 2024 we installed over 350 solar photovoltaic panels to our factory building. Since installation in August 2024, the solar panels have generated an incredible amount of electricity that allows us to significantly reduce our reliance elsewhere, minimising carbon emissions, and committing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there. We actively support global initiatives by donating 1% of our profits to 1% for the Planet through Entropy Resins®.
