Visitors to the PSB Southampton Boat Show (Stand: D017) will be the first to see two new websites aimed at boating enthusiasts.
The first is a brand new and extensive international corporate website – wessex-resins.com. Soon to be available in ten languages (with more to follow), the site includes detailed product information, epoxy ‘how to’ guides (text and video) as well as comprehensive safety advice for the complete WEST SYSTEM and PRO-SET product ranges. It also includes full contact information for both distributors and chandlers around the world.
The second website is a new online magazine called epoxycraft (www.epoxycraft.com). A community resource, epoxycraft will include contributions from WSI staff as well as industry experts and members of the general boating public. Subject areas covered include news, views and discussions on the use of epoxy in boat repair, maintenance and construction. It also provides a list of key boating events and current projects of interest.
The two new websites are being launched by Wessex Resins and Adhesives which manufactures and distributes the epoxies internationally under licence. It includes the creation of a new division called West System International (WSI), which will provide a greater level of international support for, and information about, the renowned WEST SYSTEM epoxy and PRO-SET composite epoxy brands. These are used extensively for boat manufacture and repair.
“Although we have attended the show for decades, this year will be special because we have so many new and genuinely exciting things to show to our customers,” says Ian Oliver, Managing Director of Wessex Resins and Adhesives. “WSI and the new websites in particular, enable us to give the extraordinary WEST SYSTEM epoxy and PRO-SET composite products the kind of focus and attention they fully deserve.”
“I’m delighted that the new websites provide so much information and support. Early indications from those who have seen epoxycraft in advance of launch makes me confident that it will rapidly become an important and invaluable source for many boat enthusiasts.”
In addition to the websites, visitors to the stand will, as in previous years, be able to talk directly to the senior technical team at WSI. This is a regular and popular feature of the company’s attendance at the show and enables individuals to get expert advice on all aspects of boat building and repair.
